Samuel Reed Jr.

Sam and I worked at the Comptroller's Office at the Camp Hill Institution for years. Sam was instrumental in creating a component inventory category for Correctional Industries accounting system which required much argument with management. This was one of Sam's analytical ability that followed him throughout his state career with the comptroller's operation. Sam was a good person and family man proud of his family.

Over my years with the Commonwealth, I had the privilege and honor of meeting and working with many fine people. Sam Reed was number one on my list of great people. Sam was always a great friend and true professional in everything he did. There was no one working for the Commonwealth who knew more about contracts than Sam Reed.
