Not sure what to say?

Even though we were never fortunate enough to meet Samuel Richie,we have been blessed for the friendship we have had with the Gene Richie Family the past several years. After reading this beautiful tribute to Mr. Richie's life, we now understand why Gene, Terri, Tony, Jamie, and Kelly are such special people. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time, and we pray that God will give you the strength to get through the loss that you are feeling.
Fondly, ...

I have just received the news that 'Uncle Sam'has recently gone to be with our Lord Jesus Christ in heaven.

We wanted to let you know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

We met Sam and Merilyn through the Lay Witness Movement and our my parents (Pat and Pete Anderson). The immediate thing that touched me about both your Mum and Dad was their love for Jesus and their love for people - everyone was uniquely special to them.

We...

We met our dear friends and brother and sister in Christ Sam and Merilyn through Stephen and Wendy Baum at a Lay Witness Weekend in England some 20 years ago and we loved them straight away. Their love for Jesus shone through their life and outwards to everyone they came into contact with. Having made some five visits to them we remember with great affection the many happy memories we have of time spent with them and they have a very special place in our hearts. We last spoke to Sam earlier...

Bumpa was one of the most wonderful people I have ever met and I am lucky to have known him. My most sincere sympathy goes out to your family

I was honored and priveledged to have worked with Sam. He was a genuine loving man and I can only hope and pray to acheive his level of generosity.

We are the General Secretaries of the Lay Witness Movement in Great Britain. We never had the pleasure of meeting Sam. We knew him through the prayerful support of the Lay Witness Movement in Great Britain, which he and Merilyn gave over many years. They were assigned as prayer supporters for a particular church. They were not only faithful in prayer. Many of our team members, and many churches who have held Lay Witness Weekends, will remember, with joy and affection, the very large banners he...

Dear Terri, Gene, Walter, Terri and "kids", I want you all to know how very much your Dad meant to me and my family. Those special phone calls from him were oh such a treat. He of course never had to say who he was as I always new it was Uncle Sam when I would hear his booming, happy voice! He always wanted to make sure that he was on our "annual home-made calander" list for each new year. If the year was drawing to a close, and I had not gotten his in the mail, I would get a phone call...

It was always a treat to see Sam's
smiling face and hear his best
wishes as we served together in
mentoring at ECI. My wife and I
always looked for Sam and Merilyn
at the Palace. They were so lovingly sweet!

It was an honor to know Sam and a pleasure to work with him. He is truly one of the good guys.
