Not sure what to say?

We are so sorry to learn of Dr. Sawyer's passing. He was a wonderful dentist, very gentle and kind, and we were his patients for 17 years. We very much enjoyed going to his office with its homey atmosphere, petting his cat while waiting our turn, and listening to his stories of his latest travels while he worked on our teeth. He will certainly be missed.

This is my Uncle Phil. We had so many "Sams" in the family and his Dad was a Sam that I guess Phil just stuck. He was a beloved uncle and the last living member of my Dads immediate family. He was as kind, gentle and thoughtful a person as you would ever hope to meet. He was generous beyond measure and I loved him dearly. I thank Aunt Bev for giving him a wonderful marriage and I thank The Soldiers Home for comforting and caring for him during his last few months. I will miss him dearly but...

On behalf of the Quaboag Regional School District, please accept my most sincere condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My parents and I first met Dr Sawyer very early in his years of dentistry practice, when he was working in the office of Dr Rock. When that dentist retired, Dr Sawyer took over the practice, and he took care of all our dental needs until he retired from practice in Longmeadow. He was so kind and gentle. As a child, I never understood why so many of my friends were afraid to go to the dentist--They just weren't going to the right one. My sincere condolences to his family.

RIP Doc you were the best dentist

Bev,

I was so sorry to hear about Sam's passing. He was a wonderful person and will be missed by many people. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Love, Beverly Bednarz

Dr. Sawyer was my first dentist as a child and our family stayed with him until he retired from his Longmeadow practice. I still remember his smile and my sisters and I couldn't wait to go through his treasurer chest after our appointments. I'm so sorry for your loss.
