TO THE FAMILY OF DR. SCALES:

I MET YOUR DAD AT LCCC SEVERAL YEARS AGO WHERE THEY WERE HONORING WW 11 BATTLE OF THE BULGE SOLDIERS. DR. SCALES WOULD EMAIL ME AND SEND ME INFORMATION ABOUT THE BATTLE IN MEMORY OF MY DAD. HE HELPED ME THROUGH DIFFICULT MEMORIES. I KNEW HE MUST HAVE PASSED AWAY BECAUSE I NO LONGER HEARD FROM HIM. I FOUND OUT TONIGHT AND I AM HEARTBROKEN. I KNOW THAT HE IS IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE, PROBABLY TALKING TO MY DAD ANTHONY CERRONE. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU...

What a servant of God. I remember interacting with him in the gospel at the hospital,Bible institute, & comunity events.Precious Memories.
Sorry to have been away & miss the service.

Dear Louise: We're so sorry to here of a great loss of one of our best friends. Our Prayers are with you & your family. We all know he's resting in peace. God bless your whole family.

I met Rev. Sam when I joined the Reading Chapter VBOB as an associate member. I enjoyed our conversations and especially his "jokes" during our monthly meetings. He will be missed not only by myself but by countless numbers of others. To his family thank you for sharing him with us all.

For a time Sam Scales was our pastor. He assisted us (and several other families) in establishing a new church in Muhlenberg Township (church no longer in existence). We have many pleasant and deeply emotional rememberances of Pastor Scales. He was a freely giving and considerate man. His zeal for the inscripturated Word of God is difficult to match. We pray for the peace and grace of God to be sufficient for the remaining family.

Sorry for your loss. I know He is in a far greater place and I am sure debating Theology with the prophets of old. I've always apprectiated your dad's compassion for all and his hugs whenever he saw me. What a great heritage you all have.

Hannah,
Sorry to hear about your dad. It's so comforting to know that he's with our Lord. I've always enjoyed the conversations we had; he's helped me a few times.
