Samuel Thomas Simonton

Wanda and I were cousins and it was through her that I got to know Sam a little bit. He was a delightful man telling stories about the Rebel reunions and cruises. We had some dinners together and they spent our family's annual Christmas Eve gathering that had been going on since I was a toddler 76 years ago. Unfortunately the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic caused us to cancel it for the first time. I didn't find out about Sam's passing until last week when another cousin called to tell me about...

Farewell my friend, til we meet again on our cruise in Heaven.

Tommy was my first cousin. We spent much time together as young boys, coming-of-age adventures in Mississippi where we grew up. Sadly, we lived so far apart as adults that our time together boiled down to annual family reunions for a few years. I am saddened by his death and my condolences go out to his family. RIP Tommy, you are not forgotten.
