Not sure what to say?

I was so sorry to hear of Sam and his son John's death during Hurricane Katrina. Sam and I were classmates at West Jr. High back in the 1960's and I remember him as a really nice and funny guy. Please accept my condolences.

Sam, Nupe,
Great to have met you and your brother on or about 1988 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum at a frat function. I got the opportunity to talk to you and your brother John. You mentioned that you and my brother Paul Gipson were line brothers in KAY. I attended you guys step show in 1975 at JSU and you guys were sharp in all white with the hats. I will miss you brother Nupe. My prayers to your family.

John, my condolences to you and your family for the loss of your brother, Sam. I remember Sam from out band days at Gulfport High. He was a truly nice person and a talented musician. I see there was another family member lost also. My heart is heavy for you on this day.

To John, I was away at the time of the loss of Sam, and wanted to say that I'm deeply honored to have met and known such a smart and kind funny person as Sam was, he always had a smile and kind gesture about himself. Keep God in your hearts and prayers, stay strong and couraged. Bless you and your family. From Dorothy Johnson-Howe and family.
