Sam, I know you can't see this but you are still in my thoughts dear friend. I remember a beautiful place you took me fishing...We had to move logs and push our way through trees, leading to a beautiful hidden paradise that you once told me was "Your God" you told me how you knew he was there because nothing so beautiful to come to be on it's own. I know you are at peace now thanks to a loving family. I will miss you.

Sam was the a wonderful person to know and the best friend my husband ever had. Our daughter Samantha was named after him. We all love him very much and will miss him more than words can describe. God bless and look after all those who are hurting in our time of loss.

It takes a special person to be a Marine and my Father saw those qualities in Sam. I am sorry to hear of his death. May God lift his entire family up so that they can live by His strength. Psalm 34:18 says: "The Lord is close to the...
