Our family is so saddened by such a wonderful cousin, person, family man and a beautiful Christian. When I was young I looked up at Sam Jr., as a good-looking guy who loved everyone and I felt great knowing he was family. There are so many memories that Sam has given us that we will cherish always. With regrets I am just now finding out about Sam's death. I hate terribly that I was not aware of his illness and passing because he was the best boss I ever worked for at Eastman. Sam's friendship was treasured over the years since our 1944-45 shared Navy time together and subsequent Navy reunions, the last one sponsored two years ago in Longview by he and wife Pat. "Do not ask for whom the bell tolls", it tolls for many of us in the loss of such a good man. Glen Johnson
