Not sure what to say?

On behalf of our family, "Thank You". Thank you for sharing your memories of Sam with us. He is missed dearly. He accomplished so much in such a short amount of time while still striving to do more. He will live in the hearts of many for years to come.

God speed. RIP brother. David Lewis Alpha phi Alpha.

To the Watkins family:
May the love and peace of God that He alone can give, in times like these, be yours as you go through the pain of separation. I shall always remember that smile and quiet spirited person I knew simply as "Sam". So good night Sam. We loved you but God loves you best.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Samuel Watkins was such a gentleman. On his very first day of work as a teacher at Hattiesburg High School, he walked into the library and asked could he help to move furniture or equipment! He always had a smile on his face and carried himself with a calm, quiet grace. I'm so grateful to have made his acquaintance. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

Capt Watkins was a great person and friend.I just found out about it on 28 Mar. I worked with CPT Watkins at Camp Shelby. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. I would love to meet his family.

CPT Watkins was one of the most down to earth people that I have ever met in my military carreer. We met at Camp Shelby, MS. Never a more calm person have I met. My prayers go out to the family. He was a good Officer and a GREAT man.

I knew Sam from the WestPoint Church Hattiesburg Ms where he was an usher. I am so saddened. My prayers are with the family.

CPT Watkins was my friend, he was down to earth guy and very easy to talk to. He taught one of my daughters at Hattiesburg High School and was a Soldier at the 2nd Battalion 346th Regiment at Camp Shelby, MS. He will be missed by his Soldiers fellow riders. I pray that you Rest in Peace and that your family is comforted in this time of loss.

Sam was a wonderful guy. He always had a smile on his face and his students respected him. I never once heard him raise his voice. He was a great role model and teacher.
