Samuel Wilson III was born June 23, 1946 to Samuel and Maggie Wilson II in Mobile, AL. He departed this life on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Wilson II; mother, Maggie Wilson King; one son, Malcolm Fairley. Three sisters Martha Ray Wilson, Minnie Cunningham and Barbara Wilson; brother, Elmo Allen; two nephews, Russell Allen, Michael Cunningham.
He leaves to cherish his memories a very devoted family, wife Alice B. Wilson; two daughters Onjla Wilson, Twanda Scott; three sons Christopher Wilson, Fernando Gamble,Kennard Campbell; nineteen grandchildren, one devoted, Cornelius Wilson; five great grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; five brother-in-laws; seven sister-in-laws; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation Sunday July 14, 2013 from 1pm to 5pm at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home 201 N. Hamilton Street, Mobile, AL 36603 and Monday July 15, 2013 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Life Church of Mobile,8701 Zeigler Blvd., Mobile, AL. Pastor Scotty Howard; Rev. W. J. Lomax, Officiating Minister; Interment in Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort, AL; Services of love entrusted to Christian Benevolent Funeral Home Inc.
