Sam was a dear friend and I miss him. We hiked and camped all over Colorado. We also traveled to France and to Oregon to visit the Fosters. After retirement we also had lunch about once a month and played a game called Carcassone. Since I moved to Nebraska in 2018 I have not seen Sam but we talked on the phone.

I worked with Sam at Colorado Springs Utilities for many years and he was such a pleasure to work with. Kind, patient, smart beyond compare and witty! He could come up with some of the most brilliant solutions to issues and problems that were presented during a meeting.
