Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Mr. Sam's death when his brother visited me yesterday. We will be praying for each of you.
Barbara S. Porter (Mrs. Van C. Porter, Sr.)

Our deepest sympathies go out to all family members of Sam & Frances. They worked with us on many film and commercial projects here in Charleston. They will be missed

We were sad to read the news of Sam's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Please know that Sam and Frances have a special place in our hearts. They were a BIG part of shaping our early years in the film business. Some of our most memorable and fun days were spent working side-by-side with them as extras.

I know that all who knew Sam are missing him today. He was that kind of guy. He touched your heart instantly. I willl surely kep you all in my paryers in the days ahead as you adjust to life without him. This message is from Martin and Sara Rogers we loved him dearly. Sorry we could not be there.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your father. He touched my life as a youth. Forty seven years later I still cherish the memory of his taking us to RA Camp and other church outings. I'll miss reading his occasional letters to the editor.

I know that you have many wonderful memories of him. I hope that you can find comfort in them during this difficult time.

Uncle Sam was a man of few words - but you could always trust - they were words of truth. He loved his family and they loved him.

As my mother, Florines Carter, told me Sunday evening when hearing about Uncle Sam - she said over and over - he was a wonderful brother - I will really miss him. Uncle Sam called her every week to check on her and she will truly miss his calls.

He lived a good life, loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and...

Sam was a Christian patriot a faithful husband and a servant of the Lord.
Sam has fought a good fight to keep America free. I will miss him.

Sam was my "pew" buddy for so very many years. I shook his hand the morning of his death. He said he missed Frances so much......they are finally back together. A quiet gentle giant will be missed very much. To the family.....our heartfelt sympathy for his passing. We will all miss him.

Dear Diane and family,I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your father.May Gods love bring you all comfort through this difficult time.Keep your memories of him in your hearts.Linda Wertan
