Dear Sandra, my longtime friend, how we will miss you. I will think often of Sandy's presence, her confidence and strength, the hilarious stories she told. Sandy could be outrageously funny, but that did not obscure her practical, thoughtful side. When I think of Sandy, I will also think of her great curiosity and the inquiring nature that kept her growing continually, and I will think of the infectious enthusiasm she brought to everything. Sandy, you were so full of life and you left us...

May God hold you and bless you, Sandra. May your love shine through the stars at night upon your family and friends. May your warmth comfort them in the chill of your absence. May your laughter ring through the sorrow of your passing. May your love, your warmth, and your laughter remind them daily that you remain only a thought away. And may you know that you will live forever in the hearts of those who love you.

Sandra had a light that will not be extinguished by her passing. We think about the story of her mother re-appearing as a fly, and how Sandra could never swat one after her mother passed....just in case! We will not be swatting any flies, either, and know that her good humor and strength will outlive us all. Profound sympathy and massive hugs to Leda, all the family and friends.
