Dear Jim and Family,
We are so deeply saddened to hear of Sandy's passing. You're in our prayers at this very sad time - prayers that you find joy in the memories, strength in each other and comfort in knowing whose company she enjoys now and until you all meet again.

As a collegue and friend from our time at Hartford, I am saddened by your passing. May your friends and family be comforted by knowing that we will once again be united when our time on earth has passed. My condolences to all those who cared about you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I send Jim and his children my condolences for your loss. Many times Jim shared with me pictures of Sandy's artwork. What an amazing talent. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

My heartfelt condolences to you Jim and son Ben and wife and granddaughter. A special bond between Rachel and mother Sandy was shown anytime she spoke of you and the fun you shared. You will all meet again. May my spirit be privileged to be part of this joyful reunion.

Sandy was a friend ,Work Mate our love of the Arts sealed our friendship . Knowing her through the years of her courtship with Jim into her wedding day and the birth of her beloved children, made our Friendship Special. She will always highlight my memories of her talents and the time we shared at the Art Museum.

I feel privileged to have met Sandy a few years ago when we shared an apartment in Chicago for the Columbia College AP Workshop. She has always been so positive and inspirational. I treasured her friendship and will miss her. My deepest condolences to those who were dearest to her, Jim, Ben (Kate and the Baby) and Rachel. May the memories of all the happy times sustain you.

Sandy, it is only now that I am beginning to feel the full weight of your death. While I try to accept your passing so soon before you time as the inerrant will of God, I struggle to understand what possible purpose it serves to deprive us of such a talented and compassionate soul. I take solace in knowing your troubles are at an end, and look forward to a glad reunion in a place where terrible tragedies like this never occur.
-- Your devoted brother
