Not sure what to say?

Mom, always in my heart forever.

A gifted artist bringing joy to many through her work. And sharing her talent and passion for art through teaching. Recall on valentines day while us rest of us handed out store-bought cards at Morehead Elementary, Mrs. Casillas´ sweet daughter and my classmate Sandra passed out wonderfully homemade cards to us. Uniquely hand-crafted with a special message for each of us. No-doubt a reflection the skills and heart of a loving family in the Casillas home.

I'll always keep close my many visits and your beautiful garden in Casas Grandes. Forever your friend.
Rick Ortiz

Happy Mothers Day,Mom.

What a privilege to have known and worked with Sandi at St. Clements. She was a special lady that brought out the best of us: creativity, love of nature, powers of observation and kindness. I treasure the pieces of pottery my children made and the pieces I have that Sandi made. God be with her family.

"I have fond memories of bread baking parties on Randolph with a diverse group of artists and writers from Sunset Heights and beyond. Thank you, Sandi, for welcoming so many with your warmest of smiles into your home. You will continue to shine like a jewel in the desert." Jeff Seay

Sandi was a dear friend and such a talented artist. She welcomed everyone into her home when she baked bread and made green pea soup. I will always treasure the print of her kitchen which she hand-colored for me. There are few people in this world such as Sandi who had the ability to make everyone feel special. She will be missed; however; her legacy lives on through the beautiful art work she leaves behind.

In this time of sorrow may God be with you and your family.
The Lord is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily to be found in difficult time.
Psalm 46:1

The short time we spent with Sandi was totally delightful. However, her painting has brightened our home for decades, so we feel that she is a long time friend. Our sympathy is with your family. Pat and Don Johnson
