Sandra Duval Obituary
Binghamton: Sandra G. Duval of Binghamton, 65, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2014. She is predeceased by her father, Paul Elkie. She is survivied by her mother, Junie Elkie; husband of 39 years, Richard Sr.; children, Shannyn Duval-Durkee and Susan Adamson, Kathy and Eddie Stanford, Jason and Janet Duval, Jennifer Capers, Richard Duval Jr., Jeremy Duval and Niki Escott Duval; brothers, Paul Elkie Jr., Blaine Elkie and Darryl Elkie; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws; special friends, Trina and Nancy. Sandra was an avid sewer, reader, gardener and loved people. Family was the most important thing to her and her real joy was her grandchildren. She worked for Marine Midland, HSBC, and JP Morgan. Calling hours will beheld on Thursday, May 29, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to Shannyn's Journey, C/O Visions Federal Credit Union.

We had the pleasure of being Dick and Sandy's neighbors for 8 years. Sandy will always be remembered in our hearts for her kindness and incredible smile. There are no words we can say to lesson the grief you are feeling. We were so surprised and saddened when read of Sandy's passing in the paper. We consider it a blessing that we got to see you both at a couple of stores only recently. We'll always remember her with love in her heart and a smile on her face. God bless you and your family.

Although my husband and I have been living away from Binghamton for more than 12 years, we fondly remember Sandy's kindness and gracious demeanor whenever we did business at the Upper Front Street Marine Midland and then HSBC bank branch. Sandy was a lovely lady. Keeping her family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Sandy was an amazing woman; she would light up a room by her presents. Sandy never spoke ill of anyone, always looking at the best in people. Heaven received another inspirational angel. We will truly miss her.

I remember Sandy and her family from when we were neighbors living in the town houses on River Rd. I lived in #10 with my husband and two small children. My memories of Sandy include her being a welcoming, thoughtful and caring person. I remember her holding my daughter as if it were yesterday. Her love for children, especially her own and her husband was always evident. I am soo sorry for your loss Richard and family. You are in my prayers
