I remember my first Thanksgiving as a teen. Grandma "promoted" me from the kids' table in the kitchen to the adults-only dining room. Sandy had saved the chair next to her. After a half hour or so of monotone perseverating droning about politics whilst spirited raucousness* reigned from the kitchen, Sandy leaned over and asked: "You thought this would be more fun?"
