Sandra Fletcher Obituary

Sandra Diane Fletcher Sandra Diane Fletcher, of Austin, Texas, was born on November 27, 1953 in Pecos, Texas. Her long battle with cancer ended and she went on to be with the Lord on June 29, 2012 at the age of 58. She grew up in Kingsville, Texas, and graduated from HM King High in 1972. She fell in love and married her high school sweetheart, Earl Wayne Fletcher, Jr., on December 29, 1973. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Pflugerville. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Wayne; two daughters, Stephanie Latrell Fletcher and Michelle Ruth Treder and husband Jason; two sons, Billy Wayne Fletcher and wife Amy and Joshua Dale Fletcher; five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Sandra is also survived by her loving mother, Latrell Maples; two brothers, Bill James McCarley and wife Linda and Sid Allen McCarley and wife Deborah; and her sister, Linda Truelove. She is preceded in death by her father, Bill McCarley. Family and friends are invited to a visitation to be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Pflugerville, 306 S. 10th Street, Pflugerville. Dear family and friends of Sandra Fletcher! I am so sadened to hear of her passing. Althought it was a long fight with cancer, it is always a shock to one when the battle is over. Back in the day, Sandra, her Mother, her family and I got into some delightful fun places and situations and Sandra was the most delightful soul and i so enjoyed being with her and around her. I am very sad to hear about Sandra's passing. Sandra was the Executive Assistant at the University of Texas Department of Sociology. As the current Chair of that Department, I can attest to the very positive impact she had on students, faculty, and staff. She was an exceptionally caring and supportive person.
