I met Sandi when she taught the pediatrics track in the USC BSN program in the 1980's. I took away not only knowledge about illnesses & pathophysiology, but also the importance of being an advocate for children. Sandi gave us all a solid foundation for future practice. She was an excellent role model for all nurses. It was a privilege to have been her student

So sad to hear we have lost Sandra. She was an endearing play therapy pioneer in South Carolina. Sandra had a great impact on a large number of counselors and therapists, helping them to gain valuable insights and skills for helping children. She will be dearly remembered as a treasure to many who learned from her in South Carolina and beyond.
