Sandra Gish

We knew the Gish Family growing up in Champaign.

Sandy was a joy to be around, I remember we went to the roller rink in Savoy and she bravely held my hand and pushed me around the wooden rink. I think I was 11. Sandy and her older sister Linda would babysit for my Mom and Dad. Even at a young age it seems Sandy was interested in helping the hearing impaired .

Very sorry to hear of this. While it makes me sad, it also brings back fond memories of my childhood. I hope...

I only knew Sandra during college and visited once in St. Paul. A lifetime ago. She was a true force for the hearing impaired even back then. So sorry. Miles Moorehouse

She was such a wonderful person and asset to the Deaf community -- will be greatly missed.

Gish was a gift, when I was a fledgling student of interpreting. Her values and ethics were taught with compassion and love. I really appreciated her encouragement and loving expectation of excellence. What a great teacher of life. Thank you Gish, Amelia
