Sandra Kay (Shelley) Gossett, 72

Sandra Kay (Shelley) Gossett, 72, Crawfordsville, passed away at the St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at 3:00 p.m., following a battle with cancer.

Sandra was born in Williamsport, Indiana, on January 11, 1943. She was the daughter of the late James Edward and Elsie Mae (Flint) Shelley. She was raised in Williamsport, graduating from Williamsport High School in 1961. She later received an Associates Degree from Ivy Tech in the field of electricity. She has resided in Crawfordsville since 1976.

Sandra first worked at Mid-States in Crawfordsville for 25 years. She later was an insurance agent for the Western & Southern Life Insurance Company, out of the Crawfordsville office. She worked as a manager for the Washington Manor Apartment Complex in Crawfordsville for 9 years until her illness.

She enjoyed painting, crafts and riding her four-wheeler.

On July 2, 1990, Sandra married Roy A. Gossett in the Wesley Chapel Church west of Crawfordsville.

She leaves behind her husband, Roy of 25 years; four daughters, Shelley Martin, Monticello, IN; Debbie Strickler, Wallace, IN; Sondra (Michael) Sharkey, Crawfordsville and Ronetta Shepherd, Scottsdale, AZ; a step daughter, Megan (David) Robinson, Hillsboro, IN and a step son, Greg (Robyn) Hershberger, Jacksonville, FL; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Ray Shelley and a great-grandson, Brydan Weilver.

Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, Dec, 4th, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 5th, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Janet Luchs officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery, Williamsport.
