Not sure what to say?

To your family, I am so sorry for your loss. I never met San, but I heard great things about her through Elson. She sounds like an incredible woman. It is amazing that she travelled the country on horseback, and lived in a tipi. One year, I was having really bad allergies to the pollen in Athens. She told Elson that I should buy some local honey, and it worked! I still buy it every year.

Sandra has been a dear friend to us for many years. She was involved with each of our children's birth. The first night we met, she told us we were kindred spirits. The years proved this true. We are so grateful to have known her. We are so grateful for the all-night visits, and conversations into the early morning hours. We're so grateful to know her story, and to have had her in our lives. Such an amazing person. The Father has called her home, and we will miss her until eternity embraces...

The first time I spoke to San I was just a few weeks postpartum with my second child. She was inquiring about some graphics work for a midwifery ad she wanted to place. We chatted for a few hours about all things birth and midwifery like we had known each other all our lives - a gentle soul that is quite unforgettable. I continued to hear about her joy and passion for midwifery within our community and was connected with her through herbal conversations and as she cared for some of my...

Sandra was an amazing midwife for my daughter, and through her Sandra and I became dear friends. She was a most caring, sweet and wise woman, and I will miss her tremendously.

Sandra was a giving, loving person. We spent time together with mothers, children and goats. Sandra shared a lot of wisdom with me. She was gentle, kind hearted, caring about and with each human and animal she came intact with. I really miss my co-teacher of Cubbies. She would do what ever task was required. Many people miss her massages. She loosened many tight ligaments, muscles and tendons for many people including my Fred and I. It was like she had a healing touch when she found that...

May the love of family & friends carry you through your grieving. There is a gaping hole in my heart. Each person is unique, specially created by God to fullfill a certain purpose. No one else will ever take San's unique place in the universe, yet I know the hole will gradually fill in, getting smaller all the time, as more saints come into my life, to fill the gap; till we meet again.
