Sandra Holloway
December 26, 1942 - December 27, 2023
Sandra Holloway lived an active, full and vibrant life.
She was born on December 26, 1942 and passed on December 27, 2023. She was born in San Francisco, to her parents, Lou and Hilda Holloway. She was the oldest of five siblings: Julia (Birdie) Martens, Margaret (Maggie) Washington, David Holloway and Linda Reed. Both of her parents and three of her siblings, Julia, Margaret and David are deceased. Sandra is survived by her sister, Linda Reed of Santa Rosa; as well as nieces, Kathy Washington and Susan Chrisler, both of Santa Rosa; and Susan Rowland and nephew, Rodney Rowland, both of Reno, Nev.
Sandra moved to Santa Rosa in 1952 and graduated from Montgomery High. After high school, she attended Redwood Empire Beauty College, then moved back to San Francisco, where she spent the rest of her life. In San Francisco, she found an outlet for her creative spirit, and became actively involved in the art community where she developed lifelong friendships that became her second family. She was a dedicated volunteer to the San Francisco Opera and Ballet, showcasing her love of the arts. She also enjoyed antiquing where she found treasures for her home and traveling all over the world.
Sandra's life reflects a commitment to community, the arts, travel, and personal well-being. She leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on those who knew her.
Sandra's memorial will be held on Saturday, March 16th from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., at her home in San Francisco. For further details or to RSVP, please reach out to the family at [email protected].

Not sure what to say?

Sandra was a fellow usher that we always loved to see on Sunday afternoons at the Opera or the ballet because we knew she would be given the hard job of splitting at the Grand Tier level, and we could more or less be there to enjoy the show! She was always so pleasant to be around and knew about each Opera and ballet. She wore her distinctive round glasses and looked as stunning as the patrons! We will miss her!

Sandra was a wonderful friend. She was a delight to be with in good times and a comfort in bad times. Sandra was an enthusiast. She loved beauty-whether it was opera, ballet, drawing & painting, or a well-made hand bag. She was great fun to go to a gallery with-such an enthusiast and an excellent critic & teacher. Sandra will be missed and remembered by many. I feel fortunate to have known her. My condolences to her family and circle of friends.

My sincere condolences to the Sandra Holloway family.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this time.
