What a very special person. I've been staying at the resort for many years and always looked forward to the next winter when Sandy and I would start messaging on Facebook, emailing each other and talking on the phone. She had a wonderful spirit. I loved her great sense of humor and she was always kidding me about my sled trips without Jan. I considered her a dear, dear friend and I will always carry her memory.

My wife and I met Sandy on a cold rainy evening in January of 1998. She warmed us up with hot coffee, and a very warm, and caring HEART. We had another 50 miles to travel by sled yet that evening, but she made it so much easier for us. Kathe and I will never forget that day. I am so sorry to hear of Sandy's death. I didn't know she was ill and I had been talking to her on Facebook for about six months. She was my neighbor for many years and it was so wonderful to re-connect with her. So sad for the family, including the boys, and for you, Gerrie. What a shock this was to me. Great memories of Sandy.
