Betsy, thank you for sharing Sandi's story with us. She lead a passionate and purposeful life. We are so sorry that she left this world so young but she definitely left her thumbprint in her life's work of anthropology as well as on so many people's heart.

As a former staff member at the University of Oregon, I remember Sandra as a bundle of energy and ideas and always admired her spirit and steadfastness. I know she has touched many students and was a faithful colleague to many.

Betsy I am so sorry and sad to read this. The loss of a sister is so very hard. They are a gift, our childhood friend that lives with us and a God given bond forever. Sending my deepest condolences a big hug filled with love.

Dearest S, you were and are a bright light to so many of us. As a new assistant professor you made me feel welcome and that I mattered here at the UO. You are missed but always ever with us.
