Sandy met Ron Nobile in 1964 while attending a birthday party for a friend. At the time Ron was serving in the Air Force and stationed at Malmstrom AFB. She arrived late after working all day and Ron worked equally hard that evening to ensure he and Sandra would be together after the party.

In 1965 they were married at the base chapel by Father Jarcynski, Tony, their oldest son was born in the chapel base hospital that same year.

Upon being discharged Ron and Sandy came to Sarasota to begin their civilian life. On September 30, 1968, Sandra gave birth to twin boys Richard and Chris Nobile at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. After working in the restaurant business for 20 years Sandra began a banking career as a teller. Sandra became a branch manager with Suntrust where she worked 25 years. Sandra finished her banking career with The Bank of Commerce in May 2017.

Sandy is survived by three brothers, two who served in Vietnam and enlisted while still citizens of Canada. Ron Dunn serving in Plieku for 18 months, and Harris Dunn who served in DaNang. Her youngest brother, Wayne Dunn, could not enlist because of a hearing impairment. Her youngest sister Karen Fuller resides in Soldotna, Alaska.

Sandra was a wonderful cook entertaining friends and family to the joy of anyone who took a seat at the dinner table.

Sandy was proud to be a Canadian and an American, attains joint citizenship on Sept. 20, 2007.

I just feel fortunate to have been married to a charming, kind, and loving wife.

A viewing will be held at Toale Brothers Funeral Home 40 North Orange Ave., Thursday, Dec. 28, between 4:00-7:00pm. A service will be performed at the Sarasota National Cemetery on Friday, Dec. 29 at 10:30am.

Sandy, my dear friend; I can't believe it's been 4 years since you left us. We think of you so often and are so glad that Ron stays in touch with us! You are missed so much!

Sandy my dear, dear friend,
I miss you so much and think of you every day! You, Ron, Mike and I had so many fun times together, like when we drove to and from San Francisco in just a weeks time so you guys wouldn't miss your flight back home! We had so many fun and happy times together. We are so glad that Ron stays in touch with us and once this COVID-19 is over, he will come out to see us again! I hope you have gotten together with Doug and hopefully my parents too. I better...

Sandy, my forever friend, I can't believe you have been gone two years already! I keep waiting for your phone call saying, "do you want some company"? Of course the answer was always YES! I think of you so often. We still chuckle when we look at the picture I took of you with the huge marshmallow in your mouth! I hope you are happy in Heaven; just know how much you are missed though. I also hope that Doug was there to welcome you. Ron stays in touch with us, which means a lot to us....

Sandy was a very special person. I had the pleasure of working with her for a number of years. She had a love for life, her kids and her husband. She always had a great smile and loved people. She brought sunshine to all. She will be missed.

Sandy was an absolutely wonderful lady. I was privileged to have known her and to have spent as much time with her as I did. My heart goes out to Ron and her sons. Thinking of you all.

Ron,
I was so saddened to hear of Sandy's passing. Praying God's peace and comfort for you and your sons.

My deepest condolences to Ron and all Sandra's family
