Not sure what to say?

We became friends with the Ogden family in 1966 when we first moved to Tiburon. Both our husbands were completing their medical training, and their two boys were the same ages as our two daughters. Sandy and I became close friends through the years and have shared so many of the ups, downs and sideways of life. Sandy always amazed me with her contributions to so many organizations. Through them she showed her compassion and leadership skills, as well as her love of art, poetry, antiques and...

I have known Sandy since we were in high school together at the Greenwich Academy. We were best friends and actually my husband and I introduced she and Paul to each other and we´re in each other´s wedding. I remember after she got polio John, my husband and I visited her at a special hospital where she was being treated, and she was so excited to show us that she could now sit up by herself, what a brave woman she was, and always so upbeat and positive, never complaining and going on to walk...

While students at Rollins College in Winter Park FL, my wife-to-be, Barbara Howell, and I met Sandra upon her arrival for the freshmen year 1955. Both Sandra and Barbara experienced mobile challenges from their polio experience in their teens. We remained friends ever since but missed her when Paul removed themselves to California where we visited once. Barbara passed in 2007 and I have continued to enjoy the Christmas photo greeting of a beautiful and growing family. We were and I am...

Don and I received the beautiful remembrance card of Sandy. She was a remarkable friend from Greenwich Academy days, eons ago. I remember visiting her in G. Hospital after her bout with polio. She always was upbeat and positive despite her disability, evidenced by her involvement in so many community projects and activities in CA. Her obvious pride and joys were her grands, beautiful young Ogden's all. We send our love and heartfelt sympathy to Paul and all your family. Phyllis (Carlson)...

Meeting Sandy and Paul in 1991 when I joined the American Bach Soloists was the experience of joining a family. She was someone I always looked for it every event, and could count on her zipping toward me in her motorized transportation! What a lovely and uplifted woman. It is just sinking in how much I will miss her. I´m glad I got my Christmas card out to Paul and Sandy early this year and receive theirs in return. Rest in peace.

As we send our condolences to the Ogden family we certainly cannot go without raising a toast to a remarkable lady and a life well lived. Johnna, Richard, and Anna Garman
