July 10, 1946 - August 15, 2011

Surrounded by loved ones, Sandra passed away following a sudden and brief illness just 3 1/2 months after losing her life-partner and soul-mate, husband Lorne. Sandra is survived by daughters Pamela (John) Fitzhenry of Calgary and Barbara (Jason) Davies of Qualicum Beach; grandchildren Christopher, Brittany, Garret, Chance, Jessica and Kassandra; sister Robyn (Bill) Butler and sister-in-law Pat Pal. Sandra and Lorne were married in Calgary in 1969. They made their homes and built their businesses in Calgary, Maple Ridge, Chiliiwack, Qualicum Beach and finally in Spider Lake. They made wonderful friends in these communities as well as at vacation homes In Hawaii and Florence, Arizona. Sandra's early interests included figure skating, English riding, piano and she was an accomplished seamstress. Her most recent passions included travel, walking (sometimes with her little companion Cookie), and spending time with Jessica and Kassandra who lived close by and brought joy and fun to Sandra and Lorne's lives.

A celebration of life will be planned/announced at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
