Not sure what to say?

Lenny,
I was shocked to learn today of Sandy's death. She was, as more than one has suggested here, a force of nature. You have my deepest sympathy.
Sincerely,
Rikki Fleisher

Sandy was a fearless leader and tireless advocate for children. I was privileged to work with her, and she was a compassionate guide for those of us new to the field of early childhood education. On behalf of the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, our condolences to her family, and those she knew and worked with.

I told a friend of Sandy's passing, and I was asked, 'Were you close?'. I responded, 'I wasn't close, I was honored.'

At Maryland Committee for Children, she and I would ride the elevator together or I'd peek my head into her office just to say 'hi'.

When I attended her memorial service, I learned of her life's purposeful, focused journey. A fierce, dedicated and passionate visionary, my Executive Director was also a loving, proud mother & grandmother, an eternally...

I extend my deepest sympathy to Sandy's husband, her son and daughter and their spouses and grandchildren.

She spoke with such love and...

My prayers to your family. It was a true honor to know Sandy. She was an amazing woman with a deep passion for all children. I know that her passion lives on in the activities we continue to do for children.

Lenny and family
Sandy and I were so sorry to read about your Sandy's death. It had been too many years since we saw we last saw her but the obituary in the Sun last week reminded us of the remarkable person that she was.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Sandy's family and MCC. She will be greatly missed.

Prayers from Arizona colleagues are with Sandy's family, friends, and colleagues. Although, we only knew Sandy a short time, her passion and work for children will guide many of us in our continued work.

Sandy was a true leader in the best sense of the world. She was a friend of everyone in the early education business. She will be missed by us all.
