Not sure what to say?

My memories of Sandy are similar to Rosalie's. I knew Sandy when she lived on the Holloway ranch as a teenager. We were in high school together and spent our free time hunting, hiking, skiing, fishing ... being outdoors was a high priority! The only priority, really. I treasure those memories and will never forget one of the best friends I ever had.

I've known Sandy since she was 12 and one of the most capable young people you could meet. She worked on the ranch milking her cow before and after school, riding horses, and doing any outdoor job that needed to be done. As she grew up she could help with haying or rope a calf. Animals and the outdoor life were her greatest joy. I remember her working for hours to build up strength in her legs for sking. She was always a good student all the way through graduate school in Alaska. One of...

Sandy was one of my first contacts at Denali. At the time she was managing the kennels. Sandy was always quick with a smile and deeply grounded in her natural environment. Her legacy lives on in our memories. Rest in peace dear woman.

Sandy was my Aunt whom I only had the pleasure of talking with a few times in my life. She was the outdoors woman that led a life of true adventure and many times I thought about her and her family (my cousins) at the cabin. With life the way it is, We are sometimes worlds apart and I wish I would have known her better. I know she will be missed by many.

Sandy was a marvelous lady and during the course of their years together, a wonderful companion and friend to my father, George. I am blessed by the time I was able to spend with her. She is a gentle soul and will be loved and missed by many, including me.

I am so sorry to hear the news about Sandy. She will be dearly missed.

May the Creator of all living things, give you all peace to cope without her. (Phil 4:6,7)

Nice, woman, good heart and most important, a helluva good dog driver !
