Sandy Jackson Norris, 50, of Holland, Michigan (formerly of Iuka, MS), died Friday, February 1, 2008, at the Spectrum Health Care Center in Grand Rapids, MI. She enjoyed quilting, horse riding, and cross stitching. In her spare time she spent much time helping different Christian charities. Visitation is scheduled for 6 until 9 PM on Tuesday, February 5 at Cutshall Funeral Home - Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jerry Swimmer and Bro. Doug Christie. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Pallbearers include Ronnie Stricklen, Dave Britton, Brian Glover, Louis Helm, Wesley Stricklen, and Chris Williams. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Steve Norris of Holland, MI; her father, William “Bill” Jackson (Louise) of Iuka, MS; 1 son – David Norris of Champaign, IL; and 1 sister – Theresa “T.J.” Stricklen (Ronnie) of Iuka, MS. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Dennis Jackson, and a sister, Mary Kate Jackson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Snowdown Cemetery Fund or the Gideons International at www.gideons.org in Mississippi or to the Cran Hill Ranch - Big Rapids in Michigan.

I only knew Sandy for a little over a year when she joined our quilt bee. She was a sweety and I am so glad I got to quilt with her for that little while. We are truly going to miss her.

David, there's nothing quite like losing one's mother, esp. at such a young age. You, your dad, and the rest of your mom's family have our heartfelt condolences.

I don't really know what to say about our family's loss of Sandy, it is truely heartbreaking! She was like another sister to me, we all grew up together. She loved life! She was a good person and we will always be close in spirit.

I can still see her standing at our door in Feb.of 1992. Sandy and Tim are up there looking over all of us.
