Sandy and Thomas Tiffin

I met Sandy at doll making class. She was one of the sweetest and most interesting ladies I know. Really enjoyed going to lunch with her and going to her house and having her tell us the stories of her family heirlooms and dolls. I will miss her dearly. Met Tom a few times, too, and he seemed to be a fun and interesting guy. I am so sorry and my condolences go to the families. They will both be missed.

I absolutely adored Mr Tiffin. Health class was always my favorite. After I graduated high school I was fortunate enough to still see him. He frequented my mom's restaurant The Soup Spoon. The last time I saw him he was standing in line at a grocery store in Salem.. I was so surprised and happy to see him. He told me he was on his way to his granddaughters game. I am so very sorry to hear of Mr Tiffin's passing. While I never had Mr. Tiffin as a teacher at Sandy High School, I saw him frequently at my summer job in the pro shop at the Resort. It was because of Mr. Tiffin that I learned about the Evan's Golf Caddie Scholarship. With his guidance, I applied for and subsequently received the scholorship, which provided a full ride to the University of Oregon. He undoubtedly changed my life and I'm forever grateful.
