On behalf of the Drinan family, I offer my condolences. My uncle Bob, Fr. Robert Drinan, S.J., hired Sanford decades ago. My mother, Helen Drinan, worked at the law school for 30 years, until she was 92, and counted Sanford as one of her dearest friends. He is beloved by all of us Drinans, and we celebrate his many, many accomplishments as we mourn his passing. Ann Drinan

I worked at B.C. Law school in the 80's and had the great pleasure of knowing Professor Katz. What a great guy. He often gave me great advice and encouragement as I was a new father. He once went to Florida and brought back a small gift for my daughter...he was THAT sort of man. Kind and generous. To his family I am sorry for your loss

Dear Joan, Daniel and Andy, Sanford had such a huge impact on my life, I cannot express strongly enough how our few years together at BCLS influenced these many years since....and in so many aspects of my life, both as an attorney and as a person. I am so sorry for your loss. Ken Ernstoff
