The obituary was beautifully written and I want to express my deepest sympathies to the family. I'm signing the guest book because I found Sandy's name on the same 31 page family tree that my family and cousins helped to put together. Our purpose was to distribute this information to any family members who wanted to learn about our common ancestor. If you want a copy, email me at [email protected]

Sandy and I shared memories and friends at the UO and since. We intended and promised most recently to visit in the desert where new could have reminded ourselves of those old times. I am missing that and him.

My mother, Anne Kowitt, was Sandy's aunt. We lived in California and Mom somehow lost contact with Sandy. But Mom had very sweet stores about Sandy and when I spoke to him a little over a year ago he truly did sound just like a true "Kowitt". I had hoped to meet him on one of his trips to the desert. I think one day we will meet in another place. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences. All my best to you.

I was so sad to read of Sandy's passing. He was always such a sweet guy, never a bad word to say about anyone, and he was such a pleasure to be around. I am lucky to have spent time with him since I was a kid, up to playing on occasion in the monthly poker games with all the alta cockers. A true "Kowitt," Sandy was always a kind and loving presence. My brother, Michael, and I will miss him very much.
