Santiago Avalos Sanchez died tragically in Soquel on December 12, 2016. He was 28. Santiago Avalos Sanchez was born to Margarito Avalos and Araceli Sanchez in Watsonville on September 3, 1988. He was a life-long resident of this community who attended local schools and later moved to Soquel where he worked in the shipping department at JunoPacific Medical Supply Inc. Santiago loved taking bike rides and long walks with his children and his pet bulldog (Max). Other hobbies he enjoyed were surfing at the beach and drawing. He also liked to watch Mexican soccer games especially when his favorite teams played (Chivas and Barcelona). Santiago Avalos Sanchez is survived by his partner; of 12 years, Nancy Camacho Ortiz; his children Santiago and Daisy Avalos; his parents, Margarito and Araceli Avalos; and two brothers, Josue and Esteban Avalos. Visitation will be held at Mehls Colonial Chapel on Monday, December 19th from 5 to 9pm with the rosary recited at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Help of Christians on December 20th Tuesday at 1pm with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
