Sep. 16, 1929 - May 21, 2015
Sara Frank was born in New York City in 1929. Her parents were Nancy Leanza and Vincente Biuso, who were both born in Sicily and emigrated to the United States. She attended Emerson College in Boston before transferring to the Latin American Institute in New York City where she also worked as a ballroom dance instructor. In 1950 she married Nelson Ralph Frank, and over the next nine years, the couple had four children, Elliot, Delia, Lise, and Andrea Frank. They lived in Atlanta for forty three years and retired to the Sarasota area in 1993. After moving to Florida she served as a docent at the Ringling Museum and at the Saint Petersburg Museum and was a member of various book clubs. Among her many interests she was an accomplished seamstress, furniture refinisher, collector of art and antiques, and renovated five houses. She was a gifted amateur musician who played piano and guitar and enjoyed singing with her family. She was a creative, charming, and witty woman, as well as a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, and grandmother. Sara was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Delia, and her brother, Thomas Biuso. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday May 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Toale Brothers Funeral Homes, Gulf Gate Chapel, 6903 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. Her final resting place will be in Crestlawn Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.

Not sure what to say?

Sara, thank you for giving me coffee & homemade dessert for breakfast. Thank you for telling me I was beautiful and that I should appreciate that beauty. I really liked when you would wait at the end of your driveway in bare feet and your pink oversized sleep shirt just to chat. Your devotion and determination in your care of Mr. Frank was amazing. I also admired your love and quiet grace when sharing photos of your children and little bits of how proud you were of all of them. Sara, you did...

Sara, thank you for giving me homemade dessert and coffee for breakfast. Thank you for telling me I was beautiful and that I should appreciate that beauty. I really liked when you would wear your oversized pink sleep shirt and no shoes to the end of your drive just to have a little chat. You amazed me with your devotion and determination in your care of Mr. Frank. And I admired your love and quiet grace when you showed me pictures of your children and shared some of the reasons you were so...

Sorry to hear of your loss;
God's plan was to have humans live forever on earth. When Satan stepped in and threw a monkey wrench into it. But thanks to Jesus Christ who died to save us from sin and death. In the future Jesus will resurrect those in the grave and give them an opportunity to live forever.

My friend my neighbor it was wonderful sharing life on our street with you. I will miss your charming wit and design inspirations. You were a true gift to this world and I will always be honored to say you were my friend. Darla
