Not sure what to say?

It was with great sadness that I learned from Mollie last night that Aunt Sara had passed away.
When I was 10, my father and I moved to Houston from New York because my mother had passed away 3 years before and my dad wanted to be near family. Aunt Sara was wonderful to me. Never trying to take my mom's place, but always trying to offer that female guidance that any young girl needs. Unfortunately, it's been many years since we had been in contact, but I received a lovely note from...

Ryan and Matt,
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God bless.

Our prayers will be with your family during this sad time.

Your mother was a wonderful neighbor and so caring and cheerful always saying hello and asking about the kids. Her spirit so up lifting. Every time we talked with her you couldn’t help but smile. She was such an amazing person. She will be truly missed.

Sara Sue was one of my childhood friends at Gaston Ave. We played at each others homes. I remember her playhouse out back witha front porch and even a door bell. She reminded me recently at the Gaston Reunions of playin dolls on the steps in my house. I am shocked and so disappointed because I had every intention of getting back with her.

My prayers are with all of you during this time.

I adored your mom and remember so many times hanging at the house after school chatting with her - she had an amazing spirit and heart.

Love to you all,
Marcie

Sara was my big girl cousin...with an attic playroom with wonderful fairy tale characters, a trampoline, and a cheery disposition. How i loved to visit Sara Sue, Uncle Buddy and Katie Pearl. I am gratified that Sara would like donations to Humane Societies in lieu of flowers and will happily donate. jane sheffield lowery

Oh, what wonderful memories. As children, we read comic books, played in her backyard playhouse, and built Christmas tree "forts". We will all miss her happy smile.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I grew up with Sara at Gaston. Mom (Margaret Garner)was friends with Katie taking her to church often. We will be thinking of you.

Sara was my dearest friend and I will miss her greatly. I am sure heaven now has a new angel.
