Sara N. Prioleau

Sara is an incredible person. She showed me that black women can enter places and spaces that they were never meant to be. She was a devoted mother, sister, wife, friend, mentor, grandmother and dentist. I miss her every day. Gone but never forgotten.

I met Dr Prioleau in 1975. I was working as a receptionist at Hamilton Health Center in Harrisburg, PA. I would go over to the dental department all the time and talk with the ladies I knew. One day she asked me if I wanted to work in that dept as a dental assistant. I told her I´d didn´t have any experience but she said that´s ok I´ll train you. I loved the job.
