Not sure what to say?

It is now almost three years after Sara's tragic death and I still fondly remember her kindness to me in arranging a classroom for me to use with my legal research class when I was teaching at Pratt.

I am so sorry to hear of Sara's death. She was such a kind person and such a great librarian, teacher, and scholar. Her loss diminishes all of us. My sympathies to her family.

Sara was a great light and wonderful individual. I pray that time will allow her family to smile at her memory and to remember the joy, beauty and intelligence she brought to so many people.

Malcolm, Jo, Anne, Marlene, and Kay:
It has been an honor to know Sara and enjoy her brilliance, kindness, great humor, inclusiveness, creativity and generosity. My heart goes out to all of you in suffering such a tremendous loss. Sara left the world a better place and she will be remembered by so many for so much that she gave back. Love to you all, Betsey, Mary Beth and Claire

I have only known Sara through a long friendship with her sister, Anne. When I went back through some old photos this week I came across a photo of her dancing at Anne's wedding. At the moment I viewed this photo, I recalled the warmth and sincerity I felt during the few times I met her. She was the eldest of 4 amazing women siblings who will celebrate her life and wisdom as well as mourn a tremendous loss in their family. I know, based upon what I know and have read, that she left this...

Sara was a truly wonderful person and I feel blessed to have known her.

I worked for Sara for several years 10 years ago. She was a great boss and friend. I will miss talking with her at AALL and other times. I will miss her advice and kindness. She was a great librarian, but more importantly, a great person.

Dear friend, colleague, theater buddie, mystery lover, restaurant guru, I will remember you and keep you in my heart.

Carol

Sara was a treasured colleague and a friend. I will miss her insights, her wit, her table fellowship, and those comfy needlepoint pillows that made her office couch comfortable!
