Sara passed away in March 2019. Sara was a resident of North Carolina at the time of passing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 2:30pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 940 Carmichael Drive in Chapel Hill, with Father Chris Koehn. Burial will follow in St. Matthews Catholic Church Cemetery in Durham.
I as well wish I had the opportunity to know Sara other than only through her music. She was very special and immensely important to me. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

I was lucky enough meet Sara ten years ago at a show in Birmingham, Ala. She'd been an idol of mine since high school. She was such a talent and also such a genuinely kind soul. I was fortunately with my best friend that night and meeting Sara is a memory that we will share for the rest of our lives. My most heartfelt thoughts go out to her family and friends.
