Woodfin Funeral Chapel - Murfreesboro Obituary


Sara Francis Fite Snoddy, age 89 of Murfreesboro, died peacefully Friday at her home. She was a native of Rutherford County and a daughter of the late James J. and Hattie Mae Francis Fite.


Funeral services will be at 2:30pm Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Dr. Carl McKelvey will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.  Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from noon until 2:30pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.


Mrs. Snoddy is survived by her husband of 69 years Glenn Snoddy; son, James Thomas Snoddy of Nashville; daughters, Dianne Mayo and her husband Lee of Nashville, and Glenda Keller and her husband Alan of Brentwood; grandchildren, Kyle Mayo and his wife Bracey, Michael Mayo, Curtis Keller, Corey Keller and his wife Maegan; and one great granddaughter, Magnolia Francis Mayo.


Mrs. Snoddy was a member of the North Boulevard Church of Christ. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She was a 1945 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University.
