Not sure what to say?

I first read the Stoner novels in the 1990´s. Today I started rereading them, and going down memory lane. I never knew Sarah, but for Stoner, Gwen and ensemble. Sarah left us a fun, quirky group of characters, that when life gets a bit much, we can immerse ourselves in old friends, and different times. What better thing can a person do for the world?

It's almost time to plant tomatoes here in California and I always think of Ms. Dreher when I do plant..."as would anyone with good taste."

Thank you, Sarah for introducing Stoner and friends into our lives. You will be missed.

I read Sarahs books i am scottish and male..Loved them and Sarahs will always be remembered by me your no1 scottish fan..David

I too only "knew" Sarah through Stoner. I am shocked to see that she passed away this year. To me her books are like old friends. My sympathies to Sarah's family and friends.

I never met Sarah, only knew her through her writing, and have only just found out that she had died. Her books, and her wonderful character Stoner McTavish, have graced my life and I'll always be grateful to her for that.

Sarah was an amazing woman--funny, brilliant, kind, and compassionate. I loved her and I will miss her deeply. Edwina Trentham, Moodus, Connecticut

Sarah touched the lives of so many of us in a powerful and loving way. I will always admire her courage, her spirit and sense of humor, her gentleness, and grace. She could grow the best tomatoes and she loved her dogs so deeply that she truly understood their doggie souls. I can't imagine a day will go by when she won't be missed.

Peace
