Sarah Elizabeth Fisk, 82, a 44 year resident of the Wenatchee Valley, passed away April 10, 2009. She was born January 7, 1927, in Glendive, MT to Florence Grace (Patton) and Thomas W. Milner. She was the youngest child of eight, having had seven very protective and loving brothers who called her "Sis." Sarah grew up on a farm in Glendive, MT and spoke of the hard times they endured. She was never afraid to get her hands dirty and was a very hard worker at the jobs she held in her life, which included being a nurse's aide at Highline Care Center, a server at the Chieftan Restaurant and a homemaker. There will be many cherished memories of family get-togethers at the holidays and in the summertime on the back porch, where friends and family would gather to relax and have fun. Sarah was a great cook and always made sure nobody went hungry. Sarah and her husband of 45 years, George, were also loving grandparents and spent a lot of time with their grandchildren. Water fights in the backyard, running through the sprinkler, playing on the swings at Kenroy Park and rocking the little ones to sleep, were some of the things she enjoyed doing with them.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Thomas Milner; her brothers, George, Bill, Leonard, Harley, Riley, Clarence "Buck" and Louie; and an infant daughter, Mary Fasching. She is survived by her husband, George C. Fisk; daughters, Florence (Fasching) Mckinney and Ina (Fisk) Primmer; and sons, Donald Fasching, David Fasching and Lance Fisk. Sarah was blessed to have 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren, with the last two great-grandchildren being twins, a boy and a girl. There were also many nieces and nephews who loved their "Aunt Sada" and will miss her so.
Honoring her request, there will be No Services. A family and friends Celebration of her Life will be held in East Wenatchee, WA at a later date this summer.
