Olinger-Saenz Mortuary Services - San Antonio Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sarah Gonzales on November 23, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 59. Sarah was born to Leopoldo and Amine Guerra on May 19, 1964.

She leaves behind her husband of nearly 38 years, Jesse Gonzales. Also survived by her father Leopoldo, 2 sisters Edna Guerra, Elvira Zuniga, brother Domingo Guerra, 2 nieces, 5 nephews, 1 great nephew, 3 great nieces along with other family members.

She enjoyed trips to the coast with her loving husband and spending time with her family.

Sarah was a faithful and devout Jehovah Witness servant of 48 years. Sarah always displayed strength and a profound love for Jehovah and for others. Those who knew her express she was one with a heart filled with generosity and kindness. She was prompt and always  with a willing disposition to share and shower those she loved with heartwarming acts of love.

Her close friends and coworkers share she was to be admired and love dearly due to her loyalty, love and commitment to both friendships and employment. All motivated by her genuine love for Jehovah God who she chose to serve and follow. Her love for Jehovah and thy neighbor moved her to dedicate her time to preaching, sharing the Good News of Jehovah's Kingdom, so that others too may benefit from Jehovahs love, mercy and the ransom of Jesus Christ. Let us not forget her fine example and remain close to Jehovah, so that soon we may all be reunited in Jehovah's New World. Sarah will be deeply missed!

My prayers are with Sarah family. I know we will see you again, Jehovah promise us everlasting life in a paradise where there’ll be no more pain nor death. What a joyful day that’s going to be when you are called out in perfect health and body.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond word's, and missed beyond measure. I will never forget how you were there for me and my family when my dad died. You stepped right in during our time of loss even though you had hurt your foot that week. That year we went to an assembly in Houston and you didn't leave my mom and nephew because you knew this was going to be the first year without my dad. Thank you Sarah for that. Forever loved. Until we meet again❤

Sarah was my best friend for 18 years and we shared happiness and sadness and we were each other’s support. She was my better half. She was kind and I’m very proud to call her my friend. She always saw the best in people and would help everyone. I’m going to miss you my friend. Life will never be the same without you.

A beautiful soul gone to soonwhen I was young and she was a baby.. I thought she was my baby doll I got into so much trouble because I would try and play with her.. I thought she was awake but she slept with her eyes open and I would wake her up.. Daddy and Aunt Emma would give me the scolding, I did deserve She will be loved and missed for ever my sweet baby girl and cousin ❤

She was a sympathetic, compassionate, and overall a kind boss. She was always early at work. She understood my struggles as a single mom, and knew that family was always priority. From our conversations she always took care of everyone around her especially her father. When my younger brother passed away she was quick to share her kind words and empathy, for she had gone through that same type of grieving with her mother. She was a good work mom. The day my brother passed away she sent food...

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. Your work Daughters .
