Sarah graciously took me under her wing at the Preservation Society. She was a kind and patient teacher. Eventually I was running the shop on my own on Saturdays. And she was always just a phone call away when I needed help. Your mom told me many of your childhood stories and had me laughing all
the time. She told me about her grandchildren and through her stories I could almost watch them grow.

Mrs. Jenkins' son, Walter and I served in the Air Force Reserves together. I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Jenkins upon returning home from a deployment. I never really got to know her but felt like I already knew her because Walter spoke quite fondly of her and often. I so enjoyed hearing about his mother and other members of his family. God Bless you, Mrs. Jenkins and hope we can one day meet again.

Sarah was a childhood friend from Yonges Island - we took dancing together with Mrs. Garrity and were in the St. Paul's band together with my bubba Tolly Taylor and Bobby Jenkins (I went to Brick House and my mom was the "no E" Eloise/Eloiese) and in the Plantation Bridge Club with Bobby's mom. The Jenkins boys (Ned, Evans, and Bobby) came to play in our treehouse often. Sarah and I were again close with her at Preservation Society and selling my little books.
