Monica:

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I have nothing but fond memories growing up and singing in the convention choir under the direction of Sis. Nettles. She was so sweet to me and always expressed her love and concern whenever I saw her.
God Bless You.

To Monica and family, Sister Nettles was a very quiet, stern woman in my life. I will miss her smile when she talked, arms open to greet you and a testimony that hung on my heart. Monica, your family Bishop and Sister Harden, your mother and you brought back so many memories as I reached into my heart to praise her homegoing. Your family is in my prayers. Teacher F. Smith's daughter..

As a long time neighbor on Dover Ave, Mrs. Nettles was as sweet as can be. I know in my heart that she prayed for me as a child, which played a part in my salvation today. Thank you Mrs. Nettles for your Godly and community service to my family and to so many others. We shall meet again...

Monica,
Your mom was a beautiful woman of God who touched lives in the classroom and the church; more importantly outside of school and church. What I loved most about her is that she taught by example not just words. I am a better person and saint of God because she took me under her wings for so many years. You shared her with me and for that I thank you. She will be greatly missed. She was a living testimony.

I remember uncle walter and aunt savannah as they visit us my mom would be so delighted i am so sorry for the loss of our cousin sarah.

Even after I moved away from Akron 25 years ago, I often thought of Sis. Nettle's lovingly, firm lessons and the wonderful example she set for us, girls. Monica and family, God bless and keep you.
