Sarah was born on May 9, 1932 and passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Sarah was a resident of Thomasville, North Carolina at the time of passing. Sarah is a graduate of Wake Forest University and earned a Master's from Furman University. Sarah is a graduate of Wake Forest University and earned a Master's from Furman University. While she retired from the Southern Baptist International Mission Board in 1991, she continued her ministry and graduated from Wake Forest Baptist Pastoral Care training and was ordained by the United Church of Christ. She also served as visitation minister at Zion UCC, and as Associate pastor at Mount Tabor UCC and New Friendship UCC. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019, 6-8 pm at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Thomasville, NC. The interment will be at the columbarium at First Baptist Church, Lexington. Sarah was a wonderful, compassionate person who was loved by many. I had the privilege of working with her at Thomasville Medical Center when she was our chaplain. I valued her friendship and wise counsel.
