Sarah Marie (Firks) Tharp walked into our Lord's loving arms October 7, after a sudden illness. Her love for the Lord was the focus of her life; in her final days she was surrounded by family and friends. Sarah was born December 21, 1979 at the Air Force Academy hospital. She was a member of...

Not sure what to say?

Doug,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please know that you are in our prayers! I am sorry we did not get to know Sarah, but I know that we will all meet gain in heaven! May God continue to wrap His arms of love around you and give you comfort! - Love, Sylvia and Kevin Zoerb

My dear Firks! I'm broken hearted. I know that people say the worst things when they are just trying to comfort you. I pray that God will give you the grace to let the silly comments bounce right off and let the truth of His promises resound in your hearts. What do we do when there is no answer to the questions we have for God? I haven't figured it out yet myself, but I do know that no tear goes unnoticed. May you feel his loving arms around you even though you don't understand. I love you so...

To the Tharp and Firks family,
I am both smiling and crying as I type this wee message. I am smiling because I cannot think of Sarah without doing just that. And I am crying because of our loss. Sarah was on the most loyal and constant friends I ever had. We talked for six hours one night in my back yard and we didn't cover everything! A day doesn't go by that I don't think about Sarah, N.Ireland or tea. We were blessed to be in her company. I love you.

Dear family of Sarah Tharp,
My son was in the 4th grade at TCA EAST last year and although he did not have Sarah as his teacher, we were both privileged to have met and experienced what a wonderful person she was. What a precious woman of God who exemplified such a godly heritage from her family. Rest in the assurance that Jesus Himself has promised to carry you through the days ahead.

Dear Doug,
My heart hurts for you and your family. I am so sorry to hear about Sarah, Friend. I always respected your love and tenderness towards her. You were so good to her, Doug. What a gift you were to her - and I know she was to you as well. I could see your evident love for one another when we were all up in Greeley together. I am so sorry and hurt with you in this moment. My prayers are with you, Brother. You have many that are lifting you up. You are loved.
In Him,...

Dear Mr. Tharp and the Firks Family;
We are so sorry for the loss of your wife, daughter, and sister. Sarah sounds as though she was an angel on earth - so now she is an angel in heaven. God bless you and keep you all. You will be in our prayers.
The Thomas Pantoja Family

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family. We're sorry for the pain you feel, but we praise God that your loss is only temporary.
~ We'll all see her again -- and what a day that will be! ~

Dear Doug Tharp and Mr. and Mrs. Firks,

I am sorry to hear about Sarah's death. I attended the funeral and it was a celebration of her life. I did not know Sarah but Doug you have taught and impacted both of my boys lives. Mr. Firks you also have influenced my boys lives in band at CSCS. My prayers are with all of you. God is watching over you.

Dear Doug and family,

I was very sorry to hear of your loss. I know that Sarah is with God but that it also means you are without her. Sarah was my first Bible study leader in college and a beautiful example for all women of God.
