Sarah Weddington

I took a seminar at TWU in the summer of 1983. The teacher was Sarah Weddington. The topic was "Women in Leadership." I entered the class on the first day not knowing what to expect; I left on the last day knowing what was expected of me. Sarah Weddington was/is a force in my life forever.

Please accept my sincere condolences to the Weddington Family. Ms. Sarah Weddinton was an attorney and pro-choice activist who represented Norma McCorvey in the landmark Roe v. Wade case. She was greatly admired by many of her peers and all those who knew her. May the love and the special memory you shared with her show just how much your life was touched by her. Mot a lot of people know tjat Sarah was General Counsel at US Dept Agriculture in Washington DC in the late 1970s. I was a new graduate of USD law school at USDA amd am Proud to say Sarah was my boss for awhile. RIP

Sarah Weddington was one of the early baby boomer women who rose with their hopeful bravery and character of determination to take women's lot on Earth forward in a gigantic leap. We women of the 21st Century owe Sarah and her like such a huge debt of gratitude
