Funeral service for Sarah Williams Widner, 87, of Falkville will be Saturday, January 24, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Pine Street Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Williams and Bro. Gary Dutton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Ms. Widner died on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born November 14, 1927, in Morgan County to Elton Clellie Gibson and Dollie Kilpatrick Gibson. She was a charter member of the Pine Street Baptist Church and was the "Mother of the Church." Sarah was a nurse for 50 years and was always willing to help anyone in need. She was a very loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and a wonderful friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Jimmy and John Paul Williams.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Williams (Linda) of Falkville and Sherrill Williams (Jamie) of Ripley, TN; one daughter, Alice Dutton (Gary) of Falkville; two brothers, Herman Gibson of Falkville and Howard Gibson of Priceville; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jack Kemp, Chuck Green, Harlon Smith, Dale Robinson, David Scott, Jonathan Chaney, Terry Kelsey and Mike Sharitt.
